All cPanel hosting accounts use MariaDB 10.6. MariaDB is an open-source database that grew out of MySQL, and it's compatible with MySQL, so anything built for MySQL will work with it.

MariaDB works with all popular web applications, including WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, Magento and OpenCart.

You can create and manage your databases in cPanel. Open your service under Services → My Services (https://www.hooplahosting.co.nz/client/clientarea.php?action=services), then click MySQL Databases under Quick Shortcuts. To view or edit the contents of a database, use phpMyAdmin in cPanel.
