Redirecting a domain via DNS is a scary task for some, lets go through step by step and point your new domain to Wix or Squarespace.
Before moving your domain to Wix or Squarespace:
- Where will your email be pointing?
You can use Hoopla Hosting for your emails, or point them to Outlook, Gmail.
- Do you have DNS or Web Hosting with Hoopla?
In order to modify, manage your DNS records at Hoopla you require DNS hosting or web hosting to hold the DNS records.

If you want to use Hoopla for your email hosting - Simply leave your MX records intact.
Pointing your domain at Wix:
Step 1: Ensure you have your DNS details ready - If you don't have your DNS details for switch over check out - Connecting your wix domain to your website via pointing method
Step 2: Once you have your A record details and CNAME information ready - Lets login to your Hoopla Client Area
Step 3: Access your cPanel via your services area - Hoopla Hosting Client Area - Services
Step 4: Click on your Hosting plan ( Active button )
Step 5: Login to cPanel on your left hand menu - Will then take you to your cPanel account. This is where your hosting, DNS is managed and you can create email accounts.
Step 6: Under the domains section - Click on Zone Editor.
Step 7: Change your A record IP from the 103.96 ip address to the new IP address given by Wix.
Step 8: Change the CNAME for the www. of your domain - To the new Wix cname.
Step 9: Wait for DNS to propagate, use dnschecker.org to see where the website is pointing too - It takes sometime for DNS to change, however you should see the IP address change from the 103.96 to the new IP address in either a matter of minutes or a few hours.
Step 10: Verify in Wix dashboard your DNS configuration - Wix will verify your DNS configuration and may make recommendations.
Pointing your domain at SquareSpace:

Step 1: Ensure you have your DNS details ready
